Colorado Nonprofit Provides Free Resources for the disabled community


In this episode of StayLooped, host Chris interviews Ellen Sutton from WeShowAndTell.org about their amazing program called Project Independence. Based in Denver, Colorado, Project Independence provides all-day workshops for young people with disabilities aged 14-21 to help them gain valuable life skills for adulthood.

Participants learn about independent living, money management, job interviewing, and self-advocacy. The program aims to get them thinking about and planning for life after high school. Ellen also discusses a similar program they offer that provides parents with resources and strategies to help their children with disabilities become more independent.
